After the governments announcement this evening, please see below a round-up of the main points discussed:

Main government points:

  • 10,767 have been hospitalised and sadly a further 563 people have died because of the Coronavirus - our thoughts with all the families who have lost loved ones
  • Figures show that there has been an increase in people using their car - please remember, you must stay home

    Gloucestershire points (taken from Punchline):
  • Confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Gloucestershire sits at 156
  • 16 people in Gloucestershire have died from Coronavirus
  • Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has announced that no emergency general surgery will take place at Cheltenham General Hospital and all patients will be diverted to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital
  • BP will provide free fuel to Gloucestershire's Air Ambulance until at least the end of April 2020, supporting their efforts to support medical emergencies
