GDA chosen as one of the charities of Gloucestershire Forwards for 2020
GDA is delighted to have been chosen as one of the five charities that will be benefit from a partnership with Gloucestershire Fowards, a business networking group held at Gloucester Rugby.
The group which was founded in 2017, is a collaboration between Gloucester Rugby and The Association of Gloucestershire Business Groups (AGBG). Local businesses looking for Gloucestershire networking opportunities come together once a month and it's thanks to their attendance that Gloucestershire Forwards are able to support good causes, with a proportion of the attendance fee being split between the selected charities.
GDA's Communications Manager, Gemma Sills said "The support of Gloucestershire Forwards will not only bring a financial benefit to GDA but also an opportunity for us to engage with local businesses - it'll be a chance for us to spread our deaf awareness message even further which can only be a good thing for our deaf community. We're very much looking forward to working alongside Gloucestershire Forwards in 2020."
A donation from Gloucestershire Forwards will help fund the full range of vital and diverse services that GDA provides to deaf, hard of hearing and deafened children, young people and adults living in and around Gloucestershire. Services such as our twice-a-year Friendship Circle social lunches, lip-reading classes, a monthly Lunch Club for BSL users and children and youth activities.
