Cheltenham Martial Arts choses GDA as their 2020 charity
Cheltenham based company, Cheltenham Martial Arts Academy has chosen GDA as their charity of the year for 2020.
Matt Rudman, owner of the Academy said "A couple of people who come to the Academy are deaf, as is my son Murphy, so wanting to support GDA is very personal. In the past Murphy and our family have benefitted from the activities GDA has put on for young deaf people, including the Forest School and their annual trip to the Everyman Theatre for the BSL pantomime performance, which we've all enjoyed immensely. I've been wanting to do something to support GDA for a while now, so I am delighted to be doing so in 2020.
The Cheltenham Martial Arts Academy is a safe and inclusive place for everyone, so I hope we're also able to offer support to the deaf community in and around Gloucestershire over the course of the next year, as well as hosting a number of fundraising events to raise money and awareness for the charity."
GDA's Gemma Sills said "We are over-the-moon to be starting the new decade alongside the Cheltenham Martial Arts Academy. Matt has been incredibly generous to GDA over the years so to have the support of the whole Academy is very exciting and we can't wait to see what our partnership will bring over the next twelve months."
