A massive 2.6 thank you from GDA
On Sunday 26th April, people from all over the UK took on a 2.6 challenge in aid of GDA - there was skipping, basketball, burpees, running, stepping, sit-ups, walking, cycling, push-ups and hopping!!
The 2.6 Challenge was set up by the organisers of the London Marathon, which was due to place on Sunday, in order to support charities during these difficult times.
Just like individuals and businesses, charities will be suffering as a result of the Coronavirus - £4 billion of vital funding that helps keep charities operating, will be lost because of COVID-19. And the sad truth is, GDA is no exception.
Thanks to the efforts of everyone who got involved in the campaign, as well as those who supported them or donated directly to GDA, the 2.6 Challenge campaign raised a massive £1,505.12 for GDA and every single penny of that money will be helping to see GDA through the uncertain weeks and months ahead, so that we can continue to be there for the people who need us now more than ever.
So whether you skipped, hopped, ran or walked, or you donated, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who got behind the #twopointsixchallenge for GDA.
